Japanese Restaurant Ranking

1. Sakana-Tei 3 out of 3 stars

焼きしめ鯖 Sakana-TeiSakana-Tei is not a fancy restaurant but very authentic Japanese. I would explain this restaurant as “for Japanese by Japanese.” I would recommend seafood dishes. Sushi is also great here.

Salmon Sushi & Sashimi ShimogamoConsidering its quality, dishes are priced at very reasonable price, compared to other Japanese restaurants. Not only Japanese people but also many Londoners come to Shimogamo, too.

Wagyu Tokyo Sukiyaki-TeiYou can eat authentic wagyu from Japan in Japanese ways (sukiyaki, shabu shabu, and/or yakiniku (Japanese BBQ)) at reasonable price. You can also enjoy prestigious authentic Kobe beef, too!

とんこつラーメン Kanada-yaThis well-known ramen restaurant in London definitely has Japan quality that satisfies Japanese people. I feel Japanese atmosphere from every detail of Kanada-Ya, and I love this place.

Ippudo Tonkotsu RamenIppudo has more than 100 branches in Japan and is one of the best known tonkotsu ramen restaurant among Japanese. Ippudo came to London in 2014 and now has 3 branches in London.

Assorted Sushi Sushi MurasakiEvery dish was carefully prepared and had authentic Japanese taste. Sushi was fresh and carefully prepared using many techniques; starters were also beautiful and tasty. I believe that the price was too reasonable for the quality.

Assorted Sushi Sakana-TeiThere is sushi counter on the first floor, and sushi is very nice. I especially love tuna served here. The cost performance is also great considering that sushi is cooked by Japanese and its location in the city center.

Sushi Sushi AtelierAlthough sushi chef isn’t Japanese, chef prepares sushi exactly like the professional sushi master chef in Japan; very fast but elegantly. Beautiful westernized modern sushi fascinates even Japanese people.
